General Enrollment Information
When can my child begin school at the Butterfly House?
We provide care for children ages 3-6 which includes the kindergarten year. Given our current childcare license, children must be 3 years of age and fully potty trained to be in our care.
What hours do you provide care?
Our Montessori Primary program runs from 900am-100pm, with extended care offered in the morning from 800am-900am and in the afternoon from 100pm-300pm.
What schedules do you offer?
The Butterfly House is a 5-day program. Children receive the full benefit of the curriculum when they are able to attend all 5 days. We realize this is not possible for all of our families, and we offer part-time options for this reason. Our part-time options run on consecutive days; when children attend on consecutive days, they are able to find a better flow and dive deeper into their work.
Part Time options are:
3 days per week - Mon/Tues/Wed
2 days per week - Thurs/Fri
What is the cost of attendance?
You can find our current rates here. A 10% sibling discount is offered to families who enroll 2 or more children.
Are there additional fees I should be aware of?
We require a yearly enrollment fee of $100 to secure your spot and complete administrative duties, as well as a $200 materials fee to help cover costs of updated materials, classoom projects, consumable materials, as well as seasonal projects, events and experiences.
Can you tell me more about your scholarship program?
Our scholarship program is designed to support families that want their children to attend the Butterfly House, but that would not be able to without financial assistance. Scholarships are granted as a percentage of annual tuition and typically fall within the 5-20% range. Please contact us to see what our scholarship program looks like this year. A scholarship application can be submitted in conjunction with an enrollment application after completing a program tour.
Do you accept payments from DHS?
Yes, we are a listed DHS provider. Our provider number is CYZ00015.
